Join the The Beatitudes Society May 17-23, 2008, in New Orleans, Louisiana and Gulfport, Mississippi

You are invited to practice what Jesus preached: house the homeless, feed the hungry, care for the suffering.

Spend five days with your head, heart and hands building God’s justice in a disaster area.

The Beatitudes Society Annual Service Learning Trip makes prophetic witnesses of seminarians, academics, lay people and clergy.

What's a prophetic witness? It's someone who sees what 's wrong in society and dares to speak up and act for change, dares to dream God's dream of justice on earth.

Becoming a prophetic witness for God’s justice is a life transforming opportunity: this will make a difference for the people of the Gulf Coast, and for your life in the days to come.

This is a Benedictine experience of daily work, daily worship and daily learning that will put your faith into action and transform you from the inside out.
