Sojourners Fellowship Description

Description of work:

Sojourners is launching an “Elect Peace, Vote Out Poverty" campaign in 2008.  The campaign will work through media and organizing efforts to make poverty and ending the war in Iraq central issues in the election.  The fellow’s duties will be to assist the Policy/Organizing/Communications and Executive departments in developing and launching that campaign.

Duties will include:

  • assist in researching and writing factsheets, talking points, briefings and organizing toolkits
  • assist in preparing content for web site and blog
  • assist in communications and media messaging and publicity

Skills required:

  • strong research and writing ability
  • knowledge and experience in the intersection of faith and politics
  • good communication skills
