Beatitudes Society Fellow

Lauren Phelps was a Beatitudes Society Fellow at Faith in Public Life in Washington, D.C. last summer, and is now convening a Beatitudes Chapter at Howard University. Besides ministering at Reid Temple AME Church, Lauren has produced and written for a variety of media, including Howard's "The Weekly Word", Interfaith Voices, and Interfaith Radio Show. She's committed to interfaith collaboration. About her Summer Fellowship, she says, "It prompted me to put my faith in action by working outside of the church to change the hearts and attitudes of people who witness a multitude of injustices daily and fail to act."
