“Preach the Gospel by all means; and if necessary, use words.”
The Beatitudes Society's Prophetic Preaching Workshop is Not a Contest - not a Prize, but a Process.
Each year the Preaching Workshop offers Peer learning that is
* Collegial
* Ecumenical
* Small
As we are listening each other into speech, voices are empowered by
* a sense of solidarity
* being grounded in our own authentic preaching voices
* feeling confident
* knowing they are supported
* being connected to caring peers
What the preachers from the inaugural 2009 Prophetic Preaching Workshop said:
— “I learned more in those few days than I often do in classes that last an entire quarter.”
— “If the Beatitudes Society had to choose only one thing to do that would support its mission this would be it.”
— “This is what we should be doing more of.”
