Glide Memorial Foundation Fellowship
Description:
Our prospective project within Glide this year is the opportunity to work with Janice Mirikitani and Dori Caminong on the development of Glide's new creative space, a project that will draw together the congregation, community volunteers, and participants from our social service programs into collaborative work together focused on the arts and self-expression in the service of community development and justice. We are in the middle of a physical redesign of one of our first floor lobby areas as the geographic center for this project, which will be led by Janice Mirikitani, Glide Founding President and a poet laureate of San Francisco.
Skills Required:
We are looking for people with abilities that complement the current team. We are open to a range of talents.
Unique Opportunities:
The Fellow will also be exposed to Glide's full range of programs through our immersive, two week-long orientation process. Fellows also have the opportunity to participate in several other special opportunities: last year's Fellow attended the retreat for our Community Building Division, helped staff a major donor cultivation event, and helped host the National Faith and Non-Profit Day of the annual Points of Light service conference in San Francisco.
Special Considerations:
In order for the Beatitudes Society sponsored Fellow at Glide to be there the same length of time as the other Glide Memorial interns, this Fellowship is 9 weeks long (June 7 – August 6, 2010). The amount of the stipend for this 9-week Fellowship is $3375.
