Research, compiling our Faith and Politics Newsreel, work on our blog and website, support for our communications and organizing strategy units (i.e. pitching and helping out with press conferences, research and outreach into the field, etc.)
Faith in Public Life requires excellent communications and analytic skills, media and political savvy and the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively.
We offer our fellows the opportunity to be almost fully integrated into staff and having the opportunity to work directly with senior staff members (including the Executive Director). Faith in Public Life is at the center of the progressive faith movement so our Fellows truly get to know the landscape of progressive faith and can get connected with the players (for example, one of our previous fellows now works for an organization he discovered while researching for FPL). In addition, our Washington, D.C. location gives Fellows the opportunity to observe and participate in the political process “up close.”
