As a new chapter in the Fall of 2008, the co-chairs of the Union Beatitudes Society chapter, Anna DeWeese and Andrew Rosenthal, will work from Delwin Brown's book What Does a Progressive Christian Believe?: A Guide for the Searching, the Open, and the Curious. They will lead a discussion group for eight weeks, facilitating an open discussion on what a progressive christian believes.

From the conveners:

"It is our hope to write our findings down and to put it forward as a kind of statement of purpose from and for the Union Theological Beatitudes chapter to be passed on to future Beatitudes members for adding and amending. This will be the focus of our first semester, and we will work toward creating goals for the second semester in the coming months."
