What is your regular meeting time and place?

Fourth Tuesdays in the Dorm Lounge at 12:30 pm.

How does your chapter coordinate with other campus groups?

We are in conversation with the other student groups on campus through a leadership forum and email. We attempt to coordinate with other groups in scheduling so as not to overlap meetings, work together on events and issues, and to share concerns and ideas as student leaders.

What challenges does your chapter face?

Communicating issues and providing effective, accessible resources and events to the students on our primarily commuter campus. Also, we are partly focusing this year on ecology and will be attempting to communicate the ways in which this issue is important to people and students of faith.

What kind of social justice projects does your chapter participate in?

Currently, our work in 2008-09 is focusing on the issues of homelessness and displaced persons and the ways that these problems present us opportunities for service and reflection as people of faith. Also, we invite our members to prepare presentations for the meetings so it can really be a wide range of issues.

What conversation models do you use for reflection/faith sharing? For example, how do you talk about what you care about?

We offer space during meetings for members to offer thoughts and concerns on their hearts leading up to that meeting.

What worship and prayer practices does your group use?

We're still coming into our "identity" here.

What else would you like to share about your chapter?

The multitude of interests, connections, and passions within the group is overwhelming. We are extremely excited about the ways in which the Liberation! Conference, our first big project together, has come into being and about the possibilities for future participation in the group. We hope the Be'ats to be a place were people come together to share ideas and be challenged by other ideas.
